Competition & Giveaway

Nothing tastes more like summer than sausages on a barbie, so My Food Bag and Bargain Box brands wanted us to help bring this to life with a giveaway and competition for free sample packs of two kinds of gourmet sausages developed by none other than All Blacks Sam Cane and Sam Whitelock.

Using the rivalry between All Blacks Sam Cane and Sam Whitelock with their duelling sausage flavours allowed us to create a fun and engaging digitally social driven campaign that includedĀ  content videos, digital banners, social media assets and owned channels marketing comms.

The campaign was a huge success with high levels of engagement. The campaign video received 77,000 views on Facebook with thousands of people taking to the comments section to tag their friends and comment on their favourite sausie flavour.

Facebook Poll

Via a Facebook poll, customers then voted for chance to win a backyard BBQ with Nadia and the winning All Black. The Summer Sausage Showdown was born. The poll received a huge amount of engagement with thousands of comments and around 1800 votes.

Digital Banners

Digital banners were deployed prior to campaign launch to seed the competition. These worked as a teaser with the details of the guest chefs kept secret.

A5 Flyer

A flyer with all competition details went into all My Food Bag and Bargain Box deliveries in the week’s prior to the competition commencing. This ensured that repeat orders were locked in for the coming week.


Customised packaging with was created with stylised illustrations of Nadia and the two Sams.


Throughout the promotion a series of outtakes from the shoot were pushed out via Facebook. This added extra interest to the promotion and kept it top of mind with customers.
